Temptation-56a1475c5f9b58b7d0bdc16c-5c2bbba046e0fb00010a4b41

This is something that I am going to have to face for the rest of my life. The worst part about it is that the cravings come at the most inopportune times. Drug dreams come out of nowhere and things do not have to be going bad for me to have temptation. In fact, most of my relapses will occur when things are going absolutely perfectly. I sabotage myself from ever keeping a good life because I have a fear of success. I do not know what type of woman I can become, I’ve never met her before and it’s beyond my wildest dreams. So I self-sabotage and keep myself drugged up so I never find out – NOT ANYMORE!

I was reading one of my mentor’s books and he said:

If you ever want to see the most wasted use of talent, go to a graveyard because most people take their potential to the grave.

Andrew Womack

Real shit! I am not letting that happen to me anymore. I am fighting back and I am going to find out what type of woman God made me to be. He put it in my heart to take my trauma and turn it into my testimony. Use my life as a tool to help others and become a blessing so I can bless others. God is good and it never felt so right.

So what do we do when those cravings kick in and knock us off our game? God already figured it out for us:

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Corinthians 10:13

If temptation does rain upon us again, God will provide a way to escape it and make it so that we can endure it. Nothing will come to us that we cannot handle. If you’re not dead, God is not done. We are worth finding out what and why He is keeping us still alive – don’t you agree?

I finally feel like I’m worth it. I’m worth finding out what’s on the other side of addiction and I am worth finding out what kind of woman God sees in me. Are you? I believe and so does Jesus.
